I am keeping busy. The roads here are slowly getting opened back up again using temporary bridges and some river fording. We are finally able to get more aid into the very needy areas. Haiti is still reeling from the effects of the storms, many people are starting to get very hungry as they now have no crops at all and some of their livestock was washed away. There are of course areas that are worse than others but in general things are not looking good for the future. We help where we can and our goal is to show people that they need to turn to Jesus. This country is so steeped in Voudou many people are ingnorant of the fact that Jesus loves them and gave his life for them. Please pray for Haiti. Pray that people would turn to Jesus in their difficulties.
God Bless you!

I'm back in Titanyen again. We were able to do the distribution in Cote-de-Fer on Wed. and returned to Titanyen on Thurs.
It is a terrible mess in those area. Yesterday we sent a load of food and water to Gonaives which is totally flooded out. The last death toll we are hearing from these stormsis around 500. We are holding our breath as Ike sweeps down towards us. Hopefully it stays far enough away it doesn't send to much rain on us, he looks like a mean one!
Please keep us and these people in your prayers. Many people are suffereing and living in shelters in unbelieveably cramped conditions. Babies are born in these shelters and the mothers have nothing. If you could see it with your eyes it would change you! We have it so nice and are so spoiled!

Dear Friends, I wanted to post these photos of some blows Hurricane Gustav dealt to Fon Doux. There definitly is much damage done to many areas and many houses are damaged or destroyed. Just in this area alone there are 7 houses destroyed and 11 that are damaged severely.
Please pray for these dear people. More rain is falling from Hurricane Hanna and there is much damage all across Haiti and much flooding. I am in the south right now and we are attempting a distrubution of rice and beans in an area called Cote-de-Fer. Today the river was still too high to get across and there is a big truck stuck in the approach to the river. This makes it impossible for us to get our trucks through right now. We are hoping to be able to do something about it tomorrow.

Greetings! I finally found a few minutes to get back to Xanga again. Here are a few pictures from my recent trip to the North-West. Things are very dry up there right now. The crops are a total failure and the people are hungry. Please pray with me that God would send rain on these areas. Food prices continue to rise again making it difficult for the people to get even the most basic foods. In the next few months CAM plans to distribute 5000 boxes to these needy areas. It isn't much when you look at the overall need but it does help a little.
God bless each one in your corner of the world. Brighten the corner where you are!
How would you like to live in this shack?
Or in this one?
Rough road ahead...
The roads in this part of the country are all rocks and more rocks. No pavement at all.
Beautiful, Breathtaking Views!

It's been a long time! God's Blessings to each one and thanks for your prayers over the past months. God has been good. My time here in Haiti has been full and blessed. I am especially blessed to continue to be a part of the work God is doing in Fon Doux. My desire is to continue to bless the church there. Pray with me that God would keep them in the right way.
Here are a few pictures from Haitian Memorial Day. I spent that weekend in Fon Doux and the school had a special program planned for the day. It included special marches, games, singing, and all kinds of stuff. It was a fun day and I think everyone was pretty well worn out at the end of the day. It was sort of different for me being a "blan" to be there but the children were all excited. They said I am no longer an American, I am now a Haitian with white skin.
Here is a picture of the whole school, along with teachers, directors, workers and everyone. The fellows in Camo are the ones who directed the special marches and stuff.
One of the marches done by the school. It was pretty amazing to see.
Marching down the road. I followed in the truck carrying water and stuff for the children to drink.
A sack race. This is Junior (my orphan boy I take care of) winning the race! He sure can hop fast!
